Fang Fracture      歯冠・歯根破折について

It is a symptom that lacks crown of teeth (the part of teeth seen in the mouth) or breaks.
There are various causes such as sports and accidents.
However, if patients bring his lacked parts of tooth to the odontology department, the tooth are often fixed.

歯冠（歯の口の中に見える部分）が欠ける、折れるなどした状態のことです。スポーツ・事故などいろいろな原因が考えられます。また、歯科を受診する際は、欠けた歯を持参することで復元できることがあります。


Breaking the crown of teeth (slightly)     歯冠破折（軽度）

The condition that the crown of teeth has been lacked, and it has broken.

歯冠（口の中で見える部分）が欠ける・折れる等してしまった状態です。

Breaking the crown of teeth (heavily)   歯冠破折（重度）

Teeth have been damaged from the crown of teeth to the root of ones.

歯の欠損部分が歯冠から歯根にまで達している状態です。

   歯根破折

Teeth break by the root of a tooth (the part of teeth not seen in the mouth).
It is necessary to note it because a patient often do not notice broken teeth.

歯根で歯が折れてしまった状態のことです。自覚症状のないままに折れている場合があるので、注意が必要です。

When the damage part is left, it might damage the intraoral.
Moreover, the decayed tooth might be generated in the lacked part.
Therefore, it is necessary for the person who has braken teeth, even slightly, to see dentists.
As stated above, to find the lacked part of a tooth and restore it is very important.
If patient do so, sometimes the part can be fixed in a dentist.
Also, other treatment is taken as the condition of the teeth.

痛みがないといって放置すると、欠けた部分が口内傷つけることもあります。また、欠けた部分から虫歯が発生することもありますので、必ず歯科を受診しましょう。 上にもありますが、歯冠破折でも大切なことは折れた歯をさがし保存しておくことです。この処置を取っておけば歯科の受診時に元の歯に接着してもらうことが出来ることがあります。また、折れた程度や残った歯の状況によって他の治療法があります。

　If it does not bleed so much and teeth are slightly damaged, teeth often can be fixed.
However, if it bleeds so much and teeth are heavily damaged, it is inevitable to take more complicated treatment.

破折の程度が小さく、出血も少量であれば、破折した部分をそのまま元の歯に接着できることがあります。しかし出血が多く、破折の程度が大きい場合は更に複雑な方法による治療がなされます。

Breaking the root of teeth   歯根破折

During sports or accidents, teeth sometimes are broken at the roots.
This injury is named breaking the root of teeth.
If the part of injury does not move so much, it is fixed early, teeth and dental pulps could be restored.
However, if teeth are broken at the part near the gums, this treatment could not be taken.
It is necessary to remove the damaged part and sustain the root of the teeth.
If it is impossible to take this way, unfortunately, the teeth are dead.
It is inevitable to remove teeth from the roots of them.

スポーツ、事故などにおいて、歯根で歯が折れてしまうことがあります。これを歯根破折とよびますが、折れた 部分の移動が小さく、早期に歯を復元すれば、歯も歯髄も助けられることがあります。しかし、もし折れたところが歯茎に近い場合、この方法では歯を助けることはできません。折れた部分を除去し、歯根のみを残します。それもだめなら、残念ながら抜歯となります。
